We do peel and stick make-overs in NYC which is a renter friendly option. One option is a peel and stick backsplash. We can apply peel and stick tiles in NYC, primarily in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Instead of tiling a backsplash, you could consider an affordable option of wallpapering the backstead of a traditional tile backsplash.
Is a peel and stick backsplash feasible for my setting?
Not all surfaces are capable of accepting peel and stick especially cabinets with inner grooves and granite countertops with sinks held from underneath. Usually there shouldn't be a problem installing a peel and stick backsplash along if the paper is thin and there are currently tiles with grout lines can make a peel and stick backsplash not look as good as it could. However, many people prefer to still go ahead with the tile backsplash install because the paper looks nicer than what is there or the tiles are thick enough as grout lines wouldn't be noticable.
